Learning technology, done properly
We're Learnal, a learning technology consultancy. We help organisations sort out their digital learning, from the standards underneath it to picking the right platform, and we build the skills of the people who have to use it.
We build the tech as well, not just advise on it. We make elearning, we work on XR and immersive projects, and we do the awkward technical work of getting learning content and data to move properly between systems. So when we recommend something, it's usually because we've built it ourselves, not just read about it.
Most of our work is with the NHS, the WHO and national health systems, but the same problems turn up in plenty of other sectors. Learnal is led by Richard Price, who's built and run national-scale learning systems, helped write the xAPI standard, and co-authored the NHS Digital Capabilities Framework.
We usually start by working out what you actually need, which often isn't what the brief says. If a platform won't fix your problem, or you don't need what you came in for, we'll tell you before you spend the money. We don't resell other people's products and we're not on commission, so you get straight advice.
